Utah State Halftime
The Aggies hosted the Proform Airborne Jump Rope team this weekend. The jumpers did a great halftime show. We ate at the Mickelsons home in Logan and are grateful for all they do for our team. Their daughter Sara is betrothed to our son Caleb. The only snag we see right now is that she is already a freshman in college so it may be a long wait for Caleb.

October Birthday's
Atlanta Trip
Atlanta is a way fun city. We went to the coca cola factory. Nanette is posing with the statue of the dude that invented the 'secret coke formula'. I forget his name but he ranks up there with Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny for bringing happiness to all. We went to the aquarium, Margaret Mitchells home (author of Gone with the Wind) and the Bodies exhibit. We were excited to be on a subway again, but Atlanta's subway system is tiny compared to NYC and Boston, still it is always fun to people watch on the subway. We bought a free paper from a man who was obviously in need of a shave and a haircut.

716 Autumn Drive (so far)
Hey everybody. Here is the update on our new home. I hope you don't get too sick watching but it gives a pretty decent idea of the progress so far. Weare a long way from completion but it sure has been fun to watch it go up. We will expect lots of visitors when we are moved in. We figured we had to do something to entice family and friends to come and visit. If the finished home doesn't work I promise to start showering daily.

USA Jump Rope Nationals 2009
Galveston Texas was the venue for this years USA National Jump Rope Championships. John, Nanette, and of course Hannah and Caleb all made the trip. Grace stayed with the Ashby's (thanks Emily). Proform Airborne (the Rexburg Team) brought 16 jumpers. There were 998 total jumpers there. Not many will ever place in an event. The opportunity to compete among the nations best jumpers however is quite an amazing opportunity. The team did outstanding. Hannah and Caleb both placed, Hannah in double dutch double and Caleb in his single freestyle routine.

Thoughts By Grace
2. "Raise your hand if you migrate for safety."
3. "The Statue of Liberty and the Angel Moroni should get married...they're both important."
4. "Look at this fairy I drew. She is such a dear!"
5, After learning she was starting piano lessons and what that meant..."You mean I have to waste an hour on this nonsense music stuff ?!!"
6. "I want to create a character more wonderful and glorious than a mermaid. Then I will write about it and everyone will read about it."
7. After showing grace a necklace that says Eternal Families in Chinese she said, " Yea mom and eternal families should all have the same i-pods that play video's"
Archiving the 80's
For Christms this year Nanette converted all of my old high school soccer videos to DVD. I have put together a quick flasback file reminiscent of the days with Def Leppard, mullets and when Woods Cross High ruled the soccer world.
BYU Halftime
We had so much fun in Utah for the Jump Rope weekend. Hannah and Caleb enjoyed quite the family outpouring of support. Grandma Allred and Clark, The Asby's and the Clarks. It was fun to watch the BYU game with Dave and Mel and their family. It was also impressive to realize Hannah, Caleb, Rachel and Sarah are crazy enough fans to get themselves on the big screen scoreboard with all those college students as competition.
